“My favorite part of being a criminal defense attorney is being able to channel all of my experience and abilities and competitiveness into helping people who are facing some of the toughest times in their life.” – Attorney Patrick Apple
With being in and out of the courtroom daily, Patrick has gained an invaluable perspective. He has also run into many myths about criminal law and the court system along the way. One of the most common myths that Hollywood and television often perpetuate is that cases get resolved quickly, and forensics will prove someone’s innocence beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately, in real life, court cases are far more complicated. A criminal case may take months to resolve, and evidence may face admissibility obstacles. These circumstances make it critical to have an experienced attorney by your side so you can navigate the court system effectively.
A prime example of this is when Patrick helped a Davie County client appeal his DWI case to Superior Court. Upon reviewing the facts of the case, Patrick filed a Motion to Suppress for Lack of Reasonable Suspicion. Through his experience in handling DWIs across North Carolina, Patrick was able to see the specific flaws in the evidence law enforcement brought forth against the client. As a result, Patrick was successful in the appeal process for our client. At first, our client had lost all hope. Fortunately, with Patrick’s help, he was able to keep his driver’s license and avoid additional consequences. To discuss the details of your criminal case, contact attorney Patrick Apple today.
Patrick was born and raised in Greensboro, North Carolina. He earned his bachelor’s degree in History from NC State University where he also served as a middle linebacker for the NC State Wolfpack football team. (Go Wolfpack!) He then went on to earn his J.D. from Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, North Carolina. While attending Elon University School of Law, Patrick interned for North Carolina Supreme Court Justice Paul Newby. He also interned for a local business law firm throughout his third year of law school. And, while working full-time as an associate at a local business law firm, Patrick served as a court-appointed criminal defense attorney. He represented clients in multiple district court trials for many legal matters including assault charges, DWI charges, and property offenses.
When Patrick is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing golf and basketball, reading history books, and playing the drums. Patrick is also heavily involved in the Greensboro community through volunteer activities with his church.

“I ran into a misdemeanor that could’ve resulted in jail time, received mail from Dummit Fradin requesting representation and ended up hiring Patrick. He and his paralegals fought hard on my behalf throughout several unexpected continuances of my case and the coronavirus pandemic momentarily shutting down NC’s judicial system. They were also prompt in responding to any e-mails I sent regarding updates or questions. The end result was my case getting voluntarily dismissed. Couldn’t be happier with the outcome and would definitely recommend him if you’re looking for a criminal defense attorney.”

“I rarely drive on Interstates, however when my small dog got very sick I was put in a situation where I had too. As I was driving from Greensboro to NC State Veterinary Hospital I received a speeding ticket. As soon as I got home I reached out to Dummit Fradin they responded by email that evening and called next am. My lawyer Mr Apple and his paralegal responded quickly to all my questions and kept me updated on my case. I did not have to appear in court and no points were added to my record. I highly recommend this practice.”

“Once I sat in the High Point Courtroom I quickly realized I would need a lawyer, & once I settled on Dummit Fradin I quickly felt comfortable with my decision. Everything was handled with clear and quick communication from the time I made a inquiry about their service throughout my time as a client. I became a client at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and they were still great at communicating with me the status of my case, the date changes, and anything else I needed to know. Not once did I have to reach out to them regarding anything because they reached out first. This was a complete stress free situation, and would recommend their services to anyone in need of it.”
★★★★★ – Brian
“He told me I had a strong case and could likely get the case dismissed–and he delivered. Also important, he saved me from missing the court date. My case was moved but the courthouse never notified us. He was in court for another case, saw my name on the docket for that day and asked me if I could hightail it to the courthouse. Thank you for checking records.”

“I’ve had several bad experiences with attorneys and lawyers but Patrick Apple, and his Paralegal, are an awesome team. I’d gotten my first speeding ticket and was able to get help almost immediately. I 100% recommend this firm, they were extremely attentive and took initiative with my case and really put me at ease. They emailed me updates through the entire process and even got the case dismissed without any crazy fees. Thank you guys so so much!!”
